Soprano Minna Nyberg has become well-known for her emotionally charged, dramatized concert performances, and her stage presence has always been first-class. This was also the case at the Conservatory this past weekend […] Wilhelm Kvist Hufvudstadsbladet 11.3.2026
In particular Toivo Kuula’s Meren virsi showcased an exceptionally forceful first soprano [including Minna Nyberg] unafraid of even the most powerful high notes. The piece itself is challenging. The choir’s mastery of the complex harmonies and polyphonic elements throughout the work demonstrated, as a whole, that the choir [Key Ensemble] has no weaknesses. Katariina Korkman Ilkka-Pohjalainen 24.5.2025
Minna Nyberg’s musicianship is entirely natural yet executed with fidelity and an impeccable sense of style. Her intonation remains flawless even in the most demanding coloraturas, and her deep understanding of the gestures and mimes in early music adds a distinctive dimension to her performance. Markus Mantere Hämeen Sanomat 4.8.2024
The three songs by Barbara Strozzi heard at the beginning of the concert showcased both Nyberg’s virtuosity and the richness of Baroque vocal art. Markus Mantere Hämeen Sanomat 4.8.2024
Minna Nyberg’s bright and agile soprano sounded magnificent, for example, in the duet with the violin. [Laudamus te in Bach’s Mass in B minor] Pauliina Rahiala Turun Sanomat 10.2.2024
Minna Nyberg’s The Crab makes us reflect upon how old the new is. Humankind has had to change for centuries but still we know that the resolution of tragedy is inevitable. Barbro Enckell-Grimm Hufvudstadsbladet November 25th 2021
When Minna Nyberg now has taken on the art of historical gesture and mime it feels refreshing. Especially as she has done solid background work, written a manuscript which, despite standing on many legs (texts by William Shakespeare, Lord Byron, Queen Kristina and Nyberg herself), feels like an organically well functioning whole exactly suited to her historical way of performing it.
