Alongside working as a freelance soprano and stage artist Minna also teaches. She is an experienced vocal coach teaching both solo singers and choirs. She is known for her excellent knowledge of singing technique and vocal care as well as her ability to shape her teaching methods according to the needs of the individual singer or ensemble.
She has coached singers since 2008 when she graduated as a music teacher from Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. In 2015 she started working as a singing teacher at Esbo Arbis. Minna also coaches private students. She is the organizer of and teaches the masterclass Let’s Sing Solo and Together! – Master Class in Singing Technique and Ensemble Singing. Minna also teaches classical singing at Wegelius Stora Musikkurs since 2024.
Furthermore, she coaches choirs to develop a united sound as well as their individual singers to improve their singing technique. She is the first ever vocal coach for the well-known Female Voice Choir Lyran and she has worked with many more choirs such as The Academic Male Voice Choir of Helsinki, Ceciliakören, Nox, Novena and Eviva.
Minna also coaches singers in acting and stage performance. She teaches the class Opera möter musikal (Opera Meets Musical) at Esbo Arbis. She organizes and teaches the summer course Song, Poetry and the Stage – Master Class in Singing Technique and Stage Performance, held annually in Helsinki since 2018.
